Job summary

Physician Specialists of Northern Jersey LLC is seeking a front desk medical receptionist for a full-time role in Paramus, NJ. The position requires 2+ years of front desk experience in a medical setting, excellent phone and typing skills, and the ability to stay personable with challenging clients.

Core hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with at least one late night per week. Responsibilities include checking in patients, registering new patients, entering demographics, scanning documents into the EMR,

Qualifications

• 2+ years front desk experience in medical field required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and medical terminology required.
• Able to handle high call volume and be personable with difficult clients.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients and register new patients.
• Enter demographics and scan documents into EMR.
• Handle medical records requests for disability/legal/insurance purposes.
• Collect and post copayments and account balances.
• Verify insurance eligibility for deductibles and coinsurances.
• Schedule and confirm appointments; arrange outside testing; order lab work and imaging.
