Job summary

Community College of Denver seeks a Medical Assisting/Phlebotomy Faculty member to teach didactic, lab, and internship courses in a diverse urban setting. The role reports to the Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy Chair and includes a service component.

The successful candidate should have an associate degree in medical assisting with a CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/CMAA credential and at least two years in the field, plus one year of post-secondary teaching experience and phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical assisting with a current credential (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/CMAA).
• Two years of relevant field experience within the last five years.
• One year of post-secondary teaching experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic, lab, and internship medical assisting and phlebotomy courses.
• Coordinate with Chair to manage clinical hours and documentation.
• Monitor curriculum performance and assess student learning outcomes.
• Maintain licensure/certification and contribute to program proposals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure rigorous content.
