Job summary

Community College of Denver (CCD) is hiring a full-time Medical Assisting/Phlebotomy Faculty member for 9 months with possible summer teaching for extra compensation. The role involves teaching in a diverse urban setting and may require days and evenings, reporting to the Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy Chair.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in medical assisting and a current CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or CMAA credential, plus at least two years of relevant work and one year teaching

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical assisting and a current industry credential in CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA or CMAA.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned didactic, and clinical/administrative skill labs and internship courses.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance of clinical hours for students.
• Monitor curriculum performance and prepare student learning assessments.
• Collaborate with department Chair and instructors.
• Promote program content aligned to workforce needs and student competencies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and required institutional meetings.
