Job summary

Jerry’s Foods Hudson is seeking a skilled Meat & Seafood Lead to join our team. You will prepare meat and seafood products and manage case displays, rotation and shrink, while ensuring the store is clean and sanitary.

Ideal candidates have meat department experience, food safety training, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This role includes scheduling, training teammates, and promoting excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department (2-3 years preferred).
• Attended Food Safety training.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work Sunday–Saturday with varied hours.
• Friendly and outgoing with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meat and seafood products including a variety of beef, fish, poultry, and pork.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays (may be heavy lifting up to 50lbs).
• Assist with merchandising and receiving products to keep shelves full.
• Create and manage weekly work schedules for the entire team.
• Train and develop future Meat and Seafood Managers.
• Wrap, cut and tray a variety of products and help manage shrink.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary store.

Classification: Union 1189 Universal

Rate of Pay: $33.77 / hour

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours
