Job summary

Jerry’s Enterprises in Sanibel is seeking a part-time deli associate to support the deli department. You will prepare deli products, rotate stock, and help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting display for customers. This role requires a friendly, customer‑focused approach and a willingness to learn all shifts.

The position reports to the Deli Manager and offers a flexible schedule with store-based perks. Experience in food handling and teamwork will help you excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Willing to prepare deli products including a variety of meats and cheeses (may handle pork).
• Able to fill and rotate cases and displays; may involve heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary store while following safety guidelines.

Location: Jerry’s Foods Sanibel

Reports to: Deli Manager

Classification: Part Time Union

Rate of Pay: Up to $17.00 an hour / depending on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Position functions and job responsibilities may vary by store location.

FREQUENT:

Physical:

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling 500 to 1500 pounds


• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting

Equipment Operation:

• scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, and intercom


• pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, roaster, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, pizza oven, coffee pot, cleaning utensils

Mental:

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math

Environmental:

• exposure to hot and cold temperatures, hot equipment and cooking oil

OCCASIONAL:

Physical:

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., crawling

**FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.

**OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
