Job summary

Jerry’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a part-time deli associate in Cub Foods Monticello to prepare and display deli products, engage with customers, and maintain department standards.

The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional heavy tasks, with a flexible schedule across Sundays through Saturdays. Eligible candidates should enjoy working with a diverse team, have knowledge of meats and cheeses, and be open to training in food safety.

Qualifications

• Able to handle pork where required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deli products including a variety of meats and cheeses.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays; assist with stocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department.
• Work with team to ensure the deli runs smoothly.
• Be punctual and contribute to a positive work environment.

Reports to: Deli Manager

Classification: Part Time Union

Rate of Pay: Progressive scale up to $18.00 / hour, based on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Position functions and job responsibilities may vary by store location.

FREQUENT:

Physical:

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling 500 to 1500 pounds
• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting

Equipment Operation:

• scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, and intercom
• pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, roaster, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, pizza oven, coffee pot, cleaning utensils

Mental:

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math

Environmental:

• exposure to hot and cold temperatures, hot equipment and cooking oil

OCCASIONAL:

Physical:

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., crawling

**FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.

**OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
