Job summary

Owensboro Community & Technical College is seeking a full-time Mathematics Instructor in the Mathematics, Natural & Social Sciences Department. Primary teaching will cover College Algebra, Technical Algebra & Trigonometry, and Liberal Arts Mathematics, with possible co-requisite courses.

Assignments may include evenings, weekends, online, hybrid, and off-campus formats. The role requires a strong commitment to teaching excellence, diversity, and the college mission, reporting to the Department

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours of coursework in Mathematics.
• Prior teaching experience appreciated and considered a plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction in-person and online.
• Teach 15 credit hours per semester across multiple courses and formats.
• Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to meet diverse student needs.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Complete Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) reports promptly.
• Maintain regular office hours and clear communication of availability.
• Represent the mathematics program within the community and with stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and best practices.
• Contribute to college mission through service and recruitment efforts.
