Job summary

Columbus Technical College seeks a full-time Mathematics Instructor to prepare lesson plans and evaluate student progress in Mathematics. This on-campus role requires day and evening hours, and may involve teaching across multiple service areas with some travel within Muscogee and surrounding counties.

The candidate will deliver instruction for all math levels, align with state standards, and maintain comprehensive course documentation while contributing to marketing and recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university, with option of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
• Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Responsibilities

• Delivers effective instruction for all levels of Mathematics classes.
• Teaches fall, spring, and summer semesters.
• Ensures adherence to college safety and instructional procedures.
• Evaluates student progress and provides timely feedback.
• Develops course outlines, goals, and objectives aligned with state standards.
• Maintains syllabi, lesson plans, tests, labs and other course work.
• Requests and maintains supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Completes documentation and administrative reports.
• Attends staff development and reads professional literature to stay current.
