Job summary

RPC Company in Texas is seeking a skilled, patient-focused Full-Time Mammographer to join our imaging team. You will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams while creating a calm, supportive experience for every patient.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, confident working independently, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of image quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Training and experience sufficient to independently perform mammography.
• Imaging specialty certification preferred or required by facility standards.
• Continuing education in mammography per MQSA/state regulations.
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
• Position patients accurately and compassionately while explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively, producing high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat views when necessary to ensure diagnostic excellence.
• Maintain required documentation, patient records, quality control logs, and compliance standards.
• Always follow radiation safety practices and infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, imaging team members, and front-office staff to support efficient patient flow.
• Provide a professional, reassuring patient experience, especially for patients who may feel anxious about breast imaging.
