Compass Group USA’s Canteen in Roanoke, VA is hiring a full-time Mechanic I. The role involves operating and maintaining equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, and generators. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm; online applications accepted. Prior general maintenance experience is preferred.

Pay range is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Benefits are included for full-time associates. This position is based at the Canteen location in Roanoke.

Qualifications

• Previous general maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment, including HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators and steam equipment.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company vehicle.
• Inspects and tests machine operation after repair and maintains equipment inventory.
