Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen unit in Montgomery, AL is hiring immediately for a full-time MECHANIC I to operate and maintain equipment including HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators, and steam systems. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with online applications accepted only.

Prior electrical and mechanical experience is preferred and compensation ranges from $22.50 to $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment including HVAC systems, boilers, generators, and steam equipment.
• Reads and records information from meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company vehicle.
• Inspects parts for wear and replaces worn or defective parts; tests operation after repair.
• Maintains equipment inventory and ships/receives machines and equipment.
