Job summary

Housing Development Corporation MidAtlantic (HDC) seeks a Maintenance Technician I to maintain and repair units at our Wilmington, DE communities. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, respond to resident requests, and help keep homes safe, clean, and ready for occupancy.

Under supervision of the Community Manager, you will participate in on-call rotations, manage inventory, coordinate with vendors, and uphold HDC’s standards for quality and resident experience across multiple properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and make-ready work to prepare units for occupancy.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and respectful manner.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and safety inspections to reduce emergencies.
