Job summary
AVE by Korman Communities is seeking a full-time Porter in Philadelphia to maintain cleanliness and safety across indoor/outdoor spaces. You will handle resident service requests, assist with unit turnover, and participate in after-hours on-call rotations to address emergencies.
Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of janitorial/maintenance experience, strong guest service skills, and reliable transportation for on-call duties.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one to two years of janitorial and/or maintenance experience (e.g., plumbing, electric, carpentry, appliance repairs).
- Demonstrated strong guest service skills.
- Must have reliable transportation for on-call rotation and emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Clean designated amenity spaces and indoor/outdoor areas.
- Troubleshoot/repair resident service requests (appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Maintain community exterior appearance and cleanliness (landscaping, breezeways, trash).
- Assist maintenance with turnover and work requests (light bulbs, painting, caulking).
- On-call rotation for after-hours maintenance coverage.
- Handle community emergencies (flood, fire, power loss).
- Snow removal to keep the community accessible.
