Job summary

Amoroso Wellness at York in Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks for indoor and outdoor areas, including mowing, cleaning, minor repairs, and equipment checks. The role requires manual dexterity, physical stamina and a practical, hands-on approach.

You will report to a facilities or maintenance manager, work a full-time 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule, and may be on-call biweekly or after hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must have driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Install appliances and equipment
• Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs etc.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
• Painting/Room repairs.
• misc. janitorial work
• Driving residents to appointments
• biweekly on call week/ after-hours on call

You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
