Job summary

Amoroso Wellness at York is seeking a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks on-site, including lawn care, repairs, and cleaning. The role requires basic technical knowledge, manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently within a facility environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, electrical checks, appliance installation, grounds maintenance, and on-call coverage. A driver’s license is required, and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must have driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Install appliances and equipment
• Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, etc.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
• Painting/room repairs
• Misc. janitorial work
• Driving residents to appointments
• Biweekly on-call week/after-hours on call

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as mow the grass, run the weedwhacker, mulch, clean up the outside grounds, repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

• 8-hour shift, 8a - 4:30p Mon- Fri
• Day shift
• On Call Days
