Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Morgan County Jail in Alabama. This full-time night shift position offers a 12-hour schedule with every other weekend, in a structured and secure environment.

You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and perform assessments, while documenting accurately and collaborating with medical providers. Join a team focused on compassionate care behind a safe front.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license in Alabama (AL).
• Current CPR certification.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients within the correctional facility.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Respond to urgent and emergent healthcare needs.
• Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to medical providers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Assist with chronic and acute care needs.
• Promote continuity of care throughout the facility.
• Follow established clinical policies, procedures, and standards.
• Provide professional and compassionate care in a safe and secure environment.
