Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combo of education and experience.
  • Training specific to C-Print Captioning will be provided.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience as a C-Print Captionist, Sign Language Interpreter or Assistive Technology Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide C-Print Captioning for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in classroom.
  • Provide backup for testing and assist test facilitator when absent.
  • Collaborate with IT on assistive tech and DETI on video captioning.
  • Provide AT training and set up technologies like screen readers.
  • Oversee SAS social media and Peer Mentor program, recruit volunteers, train mentors.
  • Provide office coverage and other duties as needed.
  • Meet with students each semester to review accommodations and procedures.
