Job summary

Cascades Independent Living Restaurant in Richmond, VA is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Line Cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare quality meals for our residents, staff, and guests in a collaborative kitchen.

You’ll follow recipes, maintain food safety, work with the Executive Chef and team, and participate in ongoing training. This role requires weekend/holiday availability and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cooking methods, food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Experience with cooking for larger quantities preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods according to recipes and standards.
• Assist with all phases of food preparation for the Independent Living restaurant.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, storage and handling procedures.
