Job summary

Coastal Club in Lewes, DE is hiring a full-time cook to join our fast-paced hospitality team. You will learn, prepare, and plate high-quality dishes while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Culinary Degree with two years of culinary experience (ServSafe preferred) and is eager to contribute to a growing Troon-managed property. We offer healthcare, retirement, and PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's Culinary Degree and two years of culinary experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality.
• Expedites orders in a timely manner.
• Practices excellent operational sanitation.
• Executes scheduled banquet functions.
• Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates.
• Helps reduce loss and waste.
• Communicates equipment repair needs with the Chef.
• Actively participates in training efforts.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Checks and dates all deliveries and reports variances.
• Verifies all coolers are at proper temperatures and cleaned daily.
• Processes inventory requisitions and receives supplies as necessary.
• Prepares the proper amount of food according to production plans.
• Prepares items in accordance with established recipes.

Coastal Club, located in Lewes, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Rate:

Starting at $20.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality
• Expedites orders in a timely manner
• Practices excellent operational sanitation
• Executes scheduled banquet functions
• Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates
• Helps reduce loss and waste
• Communicates equipment repair needs with the Chef
• Actively participates in training efforts
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Checks and dates all deliveries received and reports any variances to the Chef in charge
• Verifies that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis
• Processes inventory requisitions and receives supplies as necessary for quality production
• Prepares the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans
• Prepares items in accordance with established recipes for a consistent product

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Culinary Degree and two years of culinary experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

ServSafe Certified preferred
