Work Environment

The position is entirely remote, allowing for flexible work schedules that align with the therapist’s and patients' needs. Our typical office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential adjustments to accommodate varied patient scheduling requests. As a telehealth-based practice, therapists will utilize secure online platforms to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-up care, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to tailor effective treatment plans for each patient.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, informed by the cultural and personal contexts of the patients.
• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, fostering resilience, and enhancing overall well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment pathways for patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support and resources during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources tailored to their cultural contexts.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in patient records, complying with HIPAA regulations and best practices.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions, including cultural competency workshops, and actively engage in team meetings to discuss case progress and treatment outcomes.
• Stay current with research developments and best practices related to mental health therapy, particularly as they pertain to diverse and underserved populations.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders with a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly using strategies that are culturally responsive and inclusive.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with a tranquil and composed manner in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to form constructive relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to privacy regulations.
• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining professional boundaries, and confidentiality at all times.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly with underserved populations.
