The Rise and Recover Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally attuned Licensed Mental Health Therapist. This full-time role, offered remotely, involves providing exceptional psychotherapy services to a diverse clientele in a community health clinic setting in Oakland, California. Work Environment

Our remote work setting allows for flexibility while ensuring access to necessary resources for both therapists and clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, all working collaboratively to provide the highest level of care. We foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages professional growth through regular training and team engagement. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to meet patient availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, tailored specifically to the cultural backgrounds and personal experiences of each patient.
• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at encouraging resilience and promoting emotional well-being among patients.
• Collaborate consistently with team members to ensure that all clinical recommendations and treatment plans are effectively communicated and implemented, maintaining a focus on coordinated care.
• Offer immediate support and crisis intervention for patients facing mental health emergencies, employing quick and effective de-escalation techniques.
• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, treatment choices, and community resources, ensuring they have comprehensive knowledge of their mental health journey.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation that complies with all relevant legal and ethical standards within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in team discussions and cultural competency training sessions, contributing to a collaborative learning environment that enhances service delivery.
• Stay current on the latest research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health therapy, especially as they pertain to diverse communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Rise and Recover Psychotherapy Center, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant groups. Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• Proven understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based approaches, with a focus on cultural responsiveness and inclusion.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy with proven competence in establishing therapeutic rapport across diverse populations.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills with a calm demeanor in high-pressure scenarios.
• Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities that foster trust and collaboration with clients.
• Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various technological tools for documentation and communication.
• Commitment to professional integrity, ethical practice, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in community mental health settings, particularly working with vulnerable populations facing systemic barriers.

Compensation and Benefits
