Job Objective:

Supports management with product sales and acquisition, store maintenance and appearance, customer development and retention, and banking and record-keeping procedures.

Essential Functions:

1. Proficiently uses the cash register and assists others with basic problem solving.
2. Implements store opening and closing procedures as assigned and supports banking and reporting procedures.
3. Handles cash procedures for register opening and closing, makes bank runs, and deposits daily.
4. Reports on product acquisition, production, and sales as requested.
5. Supports strategies to meet sales goals, understands product rotation, and ensures timely turnover of products.
6. Communicates with the central warehouse for order placement and supports store maintenance and safety procedures.
7. Ensures displays and floor layouts are followed and looks for ways to improve store appearance and appeal.
8. Provides excellent customer service, handles complaints, and supports a positive shopping experience.
9. Maintains communication with store management about operations, incidents, and concerns.
10. Supports policy understanding and directs complaints to management.
11. Protects store resources by implementing control procedures to prevent theft and spoilage, and manages waste.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by the manager or assistant manager.
