Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations behind the bar
• Order and manage bar inventory with guidance from the Food & Beverage Director
• Train bartenders and bar staff on policies, procedures, and service standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked bar workspace
• Ensure bar supplies, garnishes, and products are stocked and organized
• Lead and support the Front-of-House team during events such as weddings and private parties
• Provide hands-on bartending service during regular operations and private events
• Complete required trainings as assigned by mountain leadership
• Accurately record all hours worked and resolve discrepancies before pay period end
• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership

The Lead Bartender is responsible for overseeing all guest-facing restaurant operations in the Mountain Room. This role leads and supports the Mountain Room Crew and Bartenders to ensure exceptional hospitality, efficient service flow, and a positive dining experience. The Lead Bartender sets the tone for service standards, team culture, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations behind the bar
• Order and manage bar inventory with guidance from the Food & Beverage Director
• Train bartenders and bar staff on policies, procedures, and service standards established by leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked bar workspace
• Ensure bar supplies, garnishes, and products are properly stocked and organized for service
• Lead and support the Front-of-House team during events such as weddings, private parties, and other functions
• Provide hands-on bartending service during regular operations and private events
• Complete required trainings as assigned by mountain leadership
• Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period
• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bartending experience, including experience in private event or banquet settings
• Strong knowledge of customer service and bar operations
• TIPS certification required (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire)
• Ability to work in a high-energy environment while maintaining professionalism
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Successful completion of background check
