Job summary

Paycom in Plantsville, CT is seeking a Bartender to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume bar environment during ski season. You will prepare and serve a variety of beverages, engage guests professionally, and stay knowledgeable about cocktails, beer, and wine.

Responsibilities include handling payments via POS, checking IDs, maintaining bar cleanliness, restocking, and supporting opening/closing duties. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain unexpired TIPS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of seasonal cocktails, local craft beers, and wine selections.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems.
• Check identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Restock supplies, glassware, and garnishes as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Work collaboratively with Mountain Room Crew, Cooks, and Mountain Leadership.
• Handle high-volume service during peak ski hours and special events.
• Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period.
• Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership.
• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership.
