Job summary

American Senior Communities’ Coventry Meadows location is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, follow recipes, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen.

We offer full-time day and evening shifts with benefits; prior institutional or healthcare food service experience is preferred, and sanitation certifications can be earned on the job.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling, may be earned on the job.
• Preferred: Prior Institutional/Healthcare food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals aligned with resident nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in appropriate quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, tray assembly, cleaning, and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during meal service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food following procedures and regulations.
