Job summary

Scribbles Center for Learning in Bloomington is hiring full-time Assistant and Floater Teachers to support our Infant Classroom. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks; 6 ECE hours preferred and previous licensed center childcare experience preferred.

Shifts run Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:30pm, with compensation of $17.25–$19.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• 6 ECE hours preferred.
• Previous childcare experience in a licensed center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
