Job summary

Scribbles Center for Learning in Bloomington, IL is hiring full-time Assistant and Floater Teachers to support our Infant Classroom. You will assist the lead teacher and help provide a nurturing, safe environment for young children, contributing to growth across emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical domains.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED; 6 ECE hours preferred; prior childcare in a licensed center is preferred.

• 6 ECE hours preferred; prior licensed center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the infant classroom.
• Implement activities fostering emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Perform physical tasks around small children and lift up to 40 lbs.

is a licensed childcare center seeking full-time Assistant and Floater Teachers to support our Infant Classroom!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, the ability to pass all background checks. 6 ECE hours preferred Previous childcare experience in a licensed center preferred.

Required Shift:

Monday - Friday, Full-time 7:30am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:30pm

Compensation:

$17.25-$19.00/hr, based on education and experience

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
