Job summary

Allied Universal in Detroit, MI, is seeking a Security Officer Incident Response Driver to protect client sites in chemical/petrochemical locations. You will monitor access, conduct routine patrols, and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, professional judgment.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and at least three years of security or related experience or a college degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law; drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by executing security procedures and site policies for chemical/petrochemical locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of areas, buildings, and perimeters; identify and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas; verify credentials and maintain visitor/vehicle/incident records.
• Support emergency response by communicating observations to site contacts and following established procedures.
