Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice seeks an in-home Associate Veterinarian to serve Omaha and surrounding areas, delivering compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes.

You will join a community of veterinarians and support staff offering flexible scheduling, mentorship, and a culture that prioritizes well-being and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background and motor vehicle record check prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
• Practice independently as a mobile veterinarian with ongoing mentorship and support.
• Coordinate with Lap of Love team and practice managers to ensure high-quality care.

• Veterinarian Salary Range 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Omaha, Fort Calhoun, Waterloo, Springfield, Bennington, Boys Town, NE and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $85,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
