Job summary

Lap of Love is seeking a Full-Time In-Home Veterinarian in Joliet, IL (also serving surrounding areas) to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes. This mobile role combines clinical medicine with personal freedom, supported by mentorship and a 24/7/365 support network.

Compensation features a base salary structure: 4-day options start at $75,000 and 5-day options at $90,000, with additional bonus opportunities, plus comprehensive benefits through Lap of Love.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some weekends is expected.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unaided and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background and motor vehicle record checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes as a mobile veterinarian.
• Practice medicine with compassion and uphold Lap of Love’s standards in home visits.
• Participate in ongoing mentorship and team collaboration while working independently.

*Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Joliet, IL, including Kankakee, New Lenox, Bourbonnais, Plainfield, Frankfort, and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $75,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $90,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends

• Candidateswill be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
