Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Full-Time In-Home Veterinarian to serve West Chicago, IL and surrounding areas. This role focuses on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care delivered in clients’ homes, offering a flexible, life-balanced lifestyle for veterinarians.

The position is part of a mobile practice carried out by a supportive network of mentors and practice managers, enabling independent work with ongoing onboarding and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required and eligible for U.S. licensure.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets in home settings.
• Practice mobile veterinary medicine while maintaining patient and client relationships.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in West Chicago, IL, including Hanover Park, DeKalb, Geneva, Hoffman Estates, Aurora, and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $107,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $130,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)


• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license


• Availability to work some weekends


• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance


• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
