Silver Ventures, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Host in San Antonio, TX, to be the first friendly face guests meet. You will manage seating, assist guests with directions and questions, and coordinate with servers and managers for a smooth dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a Food Handlers certification before employment begins.
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• POS (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills.
• Punctual and reliable attendance is required.
• Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed following uniform standards.
• Must have attention for detail, and a passion for serving Guests.
• Positive and professional attitude in every aspect of the position.
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time; capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.

• Acknowledge guest’s right-of-way and actively assist guests with directions or special requests
• Open doors for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
• Maintain clean entryway and assist with table turn-over when needed
• Provide guests with accurate estimated waiting time
• Notify servers/managers of any special events the guests are celebrating upon being seated
• Escort guests to their tables and once seated, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name
• Assist Guests with merchandise where applicable
• Communicate with Servers, Bartenders & Management to maintain maximum efficiency of the restaurant
• Maintain a consistent system for wait lists and monitor table turnover
• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies

Summary/Objective

The Host understands the importance of being the first impression of our restaurant as Guests call or enter our restaurant. You are friendly and tend to Guests’ requests with patience. The Host is accountable quickly balanc ing many tasks like managing seating charts/systems, relaying pertinent information to staff, and coordinating the activities of the dining room staff to ensure fast and courteous service to our guests.
