Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled home health physical therapy under the guidance of a supervising physical therapist and physician's plan of care. The role involves education, treatment, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient well-being within the home setting.

The PTA will monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and provide safe, effective therapy while upholding professional standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Physical Therapist Assistant education program from an accredited university/program.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and physician’s plan of care.
• Communicates with patients and caregivers regarding the plan of care.
• Documents and reports patient progress and changes to the supervising clinician.
• Educates patients and caregivers on use of assistive devices and home-care techniques.
• Participates in continuing education and adheres to professional standards.
