Job summary

TouchPoint is hiring for a full-time COOK at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The role involves preparing food per standards, serving meals with proper portions and temperatures, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Experience in healthcare or restaurant settings is preferred, with a schedule 10:30 am–6:30 pm and rotating weekends. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits for full-time associates and ongoing opportunities within Compass Group's

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare and restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards and maintaining temperature and appearance.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness, stores or discards excess food per safe practices.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensures storage per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
