Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
- Approach and interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
- Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
- Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure accurate transactions.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
- Provide SMART customer service consistently, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise based on their needs.
- Respond promptly and knowledgeably to questions, guiding customers through projects when needed.
- Show sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicate product, warranty, and feature information effectively.
- Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
- Process sales, returns, and refunds using a cash register per company guidelines.
- Provide change to front-end associates, support team supervision, and assist with merchandise bagging and security tag removal.
- Answer calls and manage register coverage to ensure quick service.
In-stock
- Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and stock supplies.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Manage online orders, verify receipts, and handle merchandise returns.
- Research product info and price match opportunities.
- Record store item usage.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitor cash drawers and security alarms.
- Detect shoplifting signs and communicate risks.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards, including hazard reporting and equipment operation.
General
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computer use.
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs assessment.
- Experience as a head cashier and in retail departments.
- Supervisory experience in any field.
- Experience in shoplifting detection.
