Essential Functions:

• Assist customers at self-checkout registers, monitoring and providing help as needed.
• Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
• Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
• Ensure accurate transactions by moving throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting.
• Thank customers and invite them to return.

Customer Service:

• Deliver SMART customer service consistently, following Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise, and explain product features and warranties.
• Respond promptly to customer and employee inquiries.
• Provide coaching and training to team members.
• Process sales, returns, and refunds using the cash register.
• Support front-end team with supervision and support.
• Handle merchandise security tags, verify product info, and bag items.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers as needed and assist with line management.

In-stock:

• Prepare register area at shifts' start and end, check equipment, and stock supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise.
• Manage customer orders, verify receipts, and handle online returns.
• Compare prices and verify price matches.
• Record store items used in inventory lists.

Clean and Safe Stores:

• Monitor cash drawers and security alarms.
• Detect shoplifting and communicate risks to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization per store standards.
• Ensure a safe work environment, following safety protocols and operating equipment responsibly.

General:

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and supervisory roles.
• Experience in shoplifting detection.
