Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking a Hand Therapist to join our patient-first care team at the Vadnais Heights Campus. Under the Hand Therapy manager, you will plan, interpret, and implement therapy programs for orthopedic patients and work with medical staff to coordinate care.

The full-time position runs Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the ability to float to other Hand Therapy sites as needed across the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and implements patient treatment programs in coordination with medical staff.
• Administers treatment per physician orders and confers with physicians on patient care issues.
• Recommends hand therapy policies and procedures for services provided.
• Evaluates charts and reports on patient progress.
• Maintains patient records, charts and discharge summaries.
• Educates patients and families in self-management care and exercises.
• Participates in clinical educational programs.
• Maintains currency in the field through continuing education, literature, and seminars.
• Ensures a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
