Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in a bar, lounge or full-service restaurant.
• Excellent communication and basic math skills.
• Maintain working relationships with staff and other departments.
• Knowledge of Martorano’s policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Flexible shifts including holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required licensing.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones; phones should not ring more than three times.
• Gree ts guests entering Martorano’s; bid farewell and thank you.
• Escort guests to tables at a comfortable pace.
• Pulls out chairs and prepares tables, starting with women first.
• Provide quality assurances like 'Enjoy your dinner.'
• Introduce server when seating guest.
• Follow hospitality standards with eye contact, smile, and warm greeting.
• Inform servers of special requests or time constraints.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as defined.
• Maintain cleanliness, wine lists, and menus in good condition.
