Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter in West Palm Beach, FL to perform cleaning and maintenance across interior and exterior areas of the community. The role includes floor care, report submission to the Supervisor, and adherence to safety and security protocols.

The position is full-time with a schedule Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and pay of $20–$21 per hour with potential yearly bonuses. Prior custodial experience and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Keeps sanitary supplies stocked for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintains relationships with building staff.
• Finishes and burnishes floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
