Job summary

Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer, Full Time Protective Screening, to safeguard government facilities, monitor access points, verify credentials, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. Position type is Full Time with a pay rate of $19.85 per hour.

The role requires 3+ years of security experience or a criminal justice degree, a guard card, and the ability to lift 20+ pounds.

Qualifications

3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Guard card is required.
Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
State, county, or city security license preferred.
CPR certification preferred.
Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while conducting site-specific screening procedures at a government facility.
Screen individuals and items using screening equipment; identify prohibited items and follow escalation protocols.
Maintain accurate logs and incident reports as required by site.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular patrols and report hazards or access concerns.
