Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time Security Screening in West Palm Beach, FL. You will screen visitors and belongings, monitor access points, and report security concerns at a government location, delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires 3+ years in security or a related field or a college degree, with CPR and licensing preferences. You must be 18+ and able to lift 20 lbs, with a background check and drug screen as part of employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories per laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited items and follow reporting protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry; direct visitors to appropriate locations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Maintain awareness of access points and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized entry and support a professional environment.
