The role requires 3+ years of security experience or a criminal justice degree, a guard card, and the ability to lift 20+ pounds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Guard card is required.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while conducting site-specific screening procedures at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and items using screening equipment; identify prohibited items and follow escalation protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports as required by site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols and report hazards or access concerns.

As a Security Officer Full Time Protective Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and belongings, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible, provide professional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and permitted items using designated screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited or restricted items and follow established escalation protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and screening-related documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity, access concerns, and facility hazards to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Possess CPR certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
