Job summary

Holyoke Medical Center is seeking an experienced individual to receive, store, inventory, and issue food and supplies used by the Food Service Department in Holyoke, MA. Duties include maintaining organized storage rooms, conducting weekly inventory, and placing orders.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to read, write, and speak English, and computer literacy; prior food service experience is preferred. This is a full-time role with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and speak in English; follow verbal and written instructions.
• Computer literacy required; prior food service experience preferred.
• Experience in receiving, storing, and organizing food and supplies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive all products purchased by the Food Service Department.
• Maintain organized storage rooms following Food Safety regulations.
• Maintain walk-in refrigerator and freezer clean and organized.
• Conduct weekly inventory of products and place orders as needed.
• Ensure FIFO (first in, first out) of all products; date products with delivery dates.
• Load and unload supplies at the loading dock and handle materials safely.
