Job summary

Holyoke Medical Center is seeking an experienced individual to receive, store, inventory, and issue food and supplies used by the Food Service Department in Holyoke, MA. Duties include maintaining organized storage rooms, conducting weekly inventory, and placing orders.

Responsibilities

• Receive all products purchased by the Food Service Department.
• Maintain organized storage rooms following Food Safety regulations.
• Maintain walk-in refrigerator and freezer clean and organized.
• Conduct weekly inventory of products and place orders as needed.
• Ensure FIFO (first in, first out) of all products; date products with delivery dates.
• Load and unload supplies at the loading dock and handle materials safely.

Salary: $18.13 - $25.66 hourly

Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade acrossthe health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.

• Properly receive all products purchased by the Food Service Department
• Maintain organized and clean storage rooms following Food Safety storage regulations
• Maintainorganized and clean walk-in refrigeratorand freezer
• Conduct weekly inventory of products
• Complete and place orders
• Maintain an organized and clean loading dock
• Maintain clean and functioning materials handling equipment
• Insure FIFO (first in, first out) of all products
• Date all products with delivery date

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and speak in English and be able to follow verbal and written instructions; computer literacy and proficiency; previous food service experience preferred
