Job summary

Envision Unlimited in the Chicago area is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a Full-Time Floater role to support residents in community living services. This position coordinates scheduling, provides daily living support, and ensures timely execution of client activities with necessary documentation.

You will monitor safety, assist with personal care, and participate in team meetings to align with Individual Habilitation Plans and care goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required; DSP training proof.
• TABE test within 120 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living skills including personal hygiene, grooming, housekeeping, laundry and clothing care, meal planning and preparation, money management and budgeting, socialization and recreation/leisure activities.
• Assist residents in achieving maximum independent functioning per the Independent Habilitation Plan.
• Implement group and individual programs promoting growth toward independent living skills.
• Plan daily schedules including household chores, social activities and appointments.
• Complete and ensure timeliness of documents such as daily progress reports, shift reports, MAR sheets, etc.
• Monitor living facility for safety and cleanliness and assist with routine housekeeping.
• Supervise resident schedules and activities to ensure timely arrival to programs or work sites.
• Supervise and assist with medication administration per program guidelines.
• Attend IHP staffing meetings and assist in planning recreational and social activities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of college or one year of college plus two years of full-time related work experience or high school diploma or equivalent plus five years full-time related work experience
