Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus, living in student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students. The role emphasizes structure, safety, and a family-like environment to foster students’ academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, wellness, and activities; devotion leadership; and budgeting oversight.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience with youth preferred
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism as role models

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
• Manage household routines and student schedules
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation with students
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting
