Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role centers on living with and caring for groups of 8-13 students in on-campus homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and structured daily routines to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses 27+, and ready to drive, supervise activities, and participate in Chapel services.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role; couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol during duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel participation.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
