Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Kiosk Technician in the Houston, TX area. You will begin your career with RDS training on key duplicating, tag engraving kiosks, and third-party service. The territory includes 60-80+ kiosks, with approximately 40 hours per week. The position offers an hourly rate of $20, a car allowance, and a gas card. The area covers roughly a 50-mile radius around Houston.

At Hillman, all full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance, voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity plans. Job Description:

  • Serve as the primary contact at customer locations.
  • Restock kiosks, order products, perform cleaning and preventative maintenance, and respond to service and repair dispatches (typically 1-2 hours per machine, 1-2 times per month).
  • Flexible scheduling for routine service calls within the week; Saturday service may sometimes be required.
  • Respond to unscheduled service calls within four hours with an ETA; perform on-site visits within 24 hours.
  • Possess some technical experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Restock and perform routine maintenance on kiosks based on demand or schedule.
  • Perform on-call repairs or adjustments when machines malfunction.
  • Install machines within the local area.
  • Monitor machines daily for issues, resolving connectivity or power problems by contacting stores.
  • Maintain inventory for restocking machines in possession.
  • Conduct store meetings, interact with store management, and promote the machines to enhance revenue.
  • Optimize revenue by improving machine locations, uptime, product mix, and store relationships.

Skills:

  • Basic troubleshooting, mechanical, and electro-mechanical skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions carefully.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheet and email proficiency.

Training specific to the kiosks will be provided to all new employees.
