Job summary

Vincentian Home is hiring a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. You will clean resident rooms and common areas, follow cleaning schedules, and use proper cleaning products and PPE to ensure safety.

The role is full-time with Monday-Friday shifts and every other weekend. Weekend differentials and PTO/sick time are offered to support a stable, caring campus for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms and common areas
• Ensuring assigned areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming
• Following established cleaning schedules and completing required work records
• Using cleaning products, disinfectants, equipment, and supplies
• Following safety procedures and manufacturer instructions when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Using appropriate PPE when handling infectious materials
• Maintaining housekeeping supplies and communicating needs to supervisors
• Operating, cleaning, and storing housekeeping equipment
• Keeping work areas organized and hazard-free
• Following infection control and cross-contamination prevention procedures
• Reporting hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions
• Working with team to support campus needs
• Treating residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness and dignity

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeper, you'll help ensure our residents and team members have a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms and common areas
• Ensuring assigned areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming
• Following established cleaning schedules and completing required work records
• Properly using cleaning products, disinfectants, equipment, and supplies
• Following safety procedures and manufacturer instructions when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Using appropriate personal protective equipment when handling infectious materials
• Maintaining adequate housekeeping supplies and communicating supply needs to supervisors
• Operating, cleaning, and properly storing housekeeping equipment
• Keeping work areas organized and free of hazards
• Following infection control and cross-contamination prevention procedures
• Reporting hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, or other safety concerns
• Using supplies, equipment, and other resources efficiently
• Working collaboratively with team members to support the overall needs of the campus
• Treating residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness, respect, and dignity

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma/GED or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma/GED

Preferred:

• At least one year of housekeeping experience

We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous housekeeping experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.
