Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colorado seeks a Radiology Transporter (Full-Time) to provide safe patient transport and clerical support within our Diagnostic Imaging team. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate identification, and teamwork with technologists and nurses.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, current BLS, and healthcare experience, with strong communication and physical stamina to handle active patient transport duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification or approved equivalent.
• Previous healthcare or patient handling experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for professional patient interactions.
• Ability to operate wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, and patient-handling equipment safely.

Responsabilités

• Safely transport patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, stretchers, or hospital beds.
• Verify patient identity, destination, and readiness prior to transport.
• Assist with patient transfers and repositioning using approved equipment and safe patient handling techniques.
• Support Radiology staff with patient positioning under the direction of a technologist.
• Provide patient handoffs to receiving staff with clarity and efficiency.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during transport.
• Assist with room turnover, linen management, and stocking supplies.
